The Problem: |
|
|
|
| Toothbrushes, dentures, braces and guards can contain
many pathogens even if they are cleaned thoroughly. Studies have shown
that substances such as cariogenic bacteria (streptococcus mutans),
thrush and intestinal fungi (candida albicans), herpesviruses and flu
viruses are found in large numbers even on well-rinsed toothbrushes.Carelessness
with regard to oral hygiene can even lead to a significantly higher
risk of a heart attack, e.g. due to streptococcus sanguis!
Toothbrushes, dentures, braces etc. foster the increase in intestinal fungi. Internationally recognised scientists rightly point to the higher
risk of re-infection associated with this. Thus, an infected toothbrush
constantly transmits germs. |
